How does a GMX system condition water without using electricity, extra water, salt or chemicals?

The GMX system uses a series of proper strength and properly focused magnetic fields to condition the water. As water molecules containing the hardness minerals pass through the magnetic fields produced by the GMX system the scale is reconfigured into a microscopic flake configuration which does not stick to the surfaces we clean. The best comparison is to ice and snow on your windshield in the winter time. Both are an ice form of water but ice requires a lot of work to remove while snow flakes can be brushed off with little effort. How much does a system cost?

If you have two or less people and one water heater or two water heaters where one flows into the other and four or less people the cost of a system shipped to you would be $640.00 for a four magnet array system. If you have three or more people with one water heater or five or more people with two water heaters the cost of a three magnetic array system in $492.00. If you have two water heaters in a zoned water heater system where different parts of your home are served by their own water heater you will have to figure one more array added to a 3 magnet system and two more to a four magnet system. These prices are for web orders only and include shipping to your door. Installation is extremely simple especially if you have copper or plastic piping which is open where the water comes into the home and on the outlet to the water heater.

Why does it cost less to magnetically condition water for more people?

The best way to help you understand why less people need more magnetic arrays consider the alternator on your automobile. It uses magnetic fields with copper wire moving through the field to produce electricity. The faster the copper wire passes through the field the more electricity is produced. GMX utilizes properly focused, proper strength magnetic fields and water flow. Like the alternator the faster the water flows through the field and the less time that water is held in the water heater tank the better the system works.

What is the true "cost" of a GMX system?

What Changes will I notice when I use a GMX System?

Is there any scientific evidence indicating that magnetic fields have an influence on fluids?

It is difficult to explain scientifically how magnetic fields effect fluids. A report prepared for the US Air Force explains that the evidence for the effectiveness of the magnetic treatment of fluids comes from the observation of results. Microscopic photographs do demonstrate a change in mineral configuration before and after treatment. Does all water respond the same to a GMX system?

Will a GMX system help prevent rust stains on fixtures and appliances?

Not directly but GMX does loosen and remove the scale that the rust stains are usually bonded too. Normally the rust stains are reduced or eliminated as the scale flakes off after being treated over a period of time.

Does it use electricity?

No. The GMX system uses permanent ceramic magnets which require no power source.

This system doesn't use salt. What other chemicals do I need to use?

The GMX system uses no salt or other chemicals.

If I go on vacation will my water be conditioned when I come home?

The effect of the magnetic treatment is not permanent. In cold water the effect lasts a week or two. In hot water it last for a shorter time. However, as soon as the water begins to flow through the fields the water is treated. The only water left unconditioned will be the water in the pipes that passed through the magnetic fields before your vacation or trip. Top of Page

How does a GMX system compare to the results obtained with a traditional salt based system.

GMX uses no chemicals or other consumables but it yields much the same results. Less detergent usage, less labor to clean, cleaner brighter clothes. The major difference between the results is that the water does not feel slippery when treated by a GMX system.

Can the GMX system be used in conjunction with a traditional salt based softening system?

All water can be treated by the GMX system including water to outside hose bibs, sprinkler systems and drinking water. This allows the conditioning of water that cannot be treated by a salt based water softener. For example, if a GMX system is installed upline from the sprinkler system scaling in the sprinkler system, on buildings and windows is reduced or eliminated. Also, when used with the traditional salt based system the efficiency of salt based system is greatly improved. The amount of salt used by the salt based system is dramatically reduced. How hard is the system to install?

The GMX system is very easy to install. Each magnetic array clamps to non ferrous pipes (pipes that a magnet will not stick to) using two nylon bolts and nylon wing nuts. If you have galvanized or other ferrous pipes then a section of the pipe where the magnetic arrays are installed will have to be replaced with non ferrous piping

Where is the system installed?

In most cases two magnetic arrays are installed where the water enters the home and one or two more are installed at the outlet to the water heater.

If I move can I take it with me?

The GMX system is completely portable. By removing the wing nuts it can be moved to any location. Top of Page

How large is a GMX system?

Each magnetic array used in a residential application is about the size of a thick paper back novel. The approximate dimensions of the typical home unit are 5" X 4.75" X 2" when installed on 3/4" tubing. Usually three or four units are required for most homes.

What diameter of pipes can a GMX system be installed on?

Why can't I just go out and purchase some magnets and strap them to my pipes?

A great question. You can but it will not work. In order for a magnetic system to condition the water three things have to be in place. The water and minerals in the water have to be exposed to the proper magnetic field strength (not too strong and not too weak) for the correct amount of time and the water must be moving through the magnetic field.
